August 26th is National Dog Day – founded in 2004 by pet advocate Colleen Paige.

This day is a special time to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued and placed in good homes each year, acknowledge family dogs, and service dogs that work selflessly each day to save lives, keep us safe and bring us comfort.
